Were there wrongs that you wanted to right? As an IGNITE supporter, you were probably as oriented to public service as the tens of thousands of young women IGNITE is reaching. That is the beauty of bringing young women to political leadership: they are drawn to the notion of public service. They want to run for office because they have solutions to pressing community problems and a vision for the future. IGNITE has had an extraordinary 2015-16 fiscal year. We’re beginning to see IGNITE program participants leave college and start their political careers. We’ve expanded the reach of IGNITE’s well-evaluated programs to young women across the nation. With the support of our pro bono award-winning advertising agency, we kicked off our #DeclareYourAmbition campaign, which is reaching millions and sparking a national discussion around how we can actively encourage the young women in our lives to lead. When I travel around the country and meet IGNITE young women I see an incredible energy and passion to lead. I’ve never been more certain that we will achieve political parity in our lifetime. All of this, because of you, and your commitment to making the world a better place through investing in the next generation of political leaders.
